Riding the waves of the maturity of cloud computing, big data analysis, ubiquitous wireless coverage, smart phones, and advanced in nanoscale semiconductor devices and sensors, the Internet of Things (IoT) is going to become a global phenomenon in e-health, smart cities, connected vehicles, connected homes, and more. In 2014, IEEE launched the first issue of IoT journal and Apple launched IoT enabled iWatch in 2015, just to name a few. The projected worldwide market is in many billions in 2020 and the benefits of IoT providing real time information access for everyone, everywhere, anytime are unbelievable. To fulfill the future demands, we need to clearly understand the key enablers and invest the time and resources in these areas today.
This year’s forum is dedicated to technologies, forward-looking new business model, legal systems, and new infrastructure integration that enable the IoT crossing the chasm. The objectives for holding this forum are: a) to gather experts and associates across the Pacific for sharing their knowledge and experiences, and b) to provide business opportunities for enterprises, professionals, entrepreneurs and VCs.
