“From Smart Transit to Smart City”

Abstract:

US transit industry is transforming itself by introducing sensor technologies along with mobile apps to enhance its services, position itself for the forth coming transportation revolutions and elevate its role to provide values to the region it serves. All of the efforts have created positive impacts to the smart city landscape and to preserve a sustainable living/environment. As the Chief Technology Officer at Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority in Phoenix, Arizona, Mr. Tsuei is sharing the smart transit technology roadmap to demonstrate the impact from transit perspective to Smart City implementation.

Biography:

Mr. Tsuei is presently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority in Phoenix, Arizona. He also serves as a Board member on American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Board as well as the Chair of APTA Information Technology Committee. Mr. Tsuei has more than 25-year experience in the technology fields covering various industries, such as manufacturing, banking, media, transportation and public sector. Mr. Tsuei possess Project Management Professional certificate from Project Management Institute and is a registered Certified Public Accountant at large in US.
