As the director of Taiwan Startup Hub initiative, Dr. Lee’s passion lies in promoting entrepreneurship and helping startups succeed in Taiwan. Under the mentorship of Dr. Lee, the Startup Hub helps its members develop innovative solutionsin the fields of information and communication technologies (ICT), and internet of things (IoT). Aside from the focus in innovation, the Startup Hub also strive in the creation of programs to guide its startup members with go to market strategies and quickly commercialize their innovations into viable business in the eco-system.
Dr. Da-sheng Lee received PhD degree in mechanical engineering from the National Taiwan University in 2004. Afterwards, he joined the Department of Energy and Refrigerating Air Conditioning Engineering of National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) as an assistant professor. Since 2008, he has served as the director of Energy Technology Research Center in NTUT.I. In 2010, he was promoted to full professor till he received the honor as a distinguished professor in 2016. In 2015, he was entrusted by Taiwan Executive Yuan and has served as the director of Taiwan Startup Hub. The Hub’s main objective is to link start-up societies at Taiwan and to promote commercialization of innovations.
During the past five years, Dr. Lee has published twenty research papers in leading journals and publications such as SCI, Biosensors, Bioelectronics and Sensors, related to sensor technologies and applications for biological testing, machine status monitoring, and energy conservation control.
